SHRM Certification

HRACO's SHRM Certification Review Course

HRACO has offered SHRM Certification review courses since 2015.

Our unique face-to-face instructor-led classes utilizing the SHRM learning system have consistently achieved one of the highest pass rates in the country.

HRACO’s SHRM certification review course consists of 32 hours of face-to-face lectures presented over 8 consecutive weeks. Each 4-hour class is facilitated by a certified HR professional with expertise in the topics covered that evening. The SHRM Learning System materials, both online resources, and printed books provide the content for the course.

HRACO’s SHRM Certification Course FAQ:

HRACO holds two Certifications Review Courses annually, in the Spring and Fall.
Our Spring 2023 class will start on March 13 and conclude on May 1.
Classes are Monday evenings from 6-10 PM.
Registration for our Spring 2023 class is now open!
There are 8 classes on Monday evenings. Information on our 2023 Spring Course will be published soon!
Each class is from 6 to 10 p.m. Classroom doors open at 5:45 p.m. We ask that participants arrive and are seated to learn by 6 p.m. Classes start promptly at 6 p.m.
There is one scheduled break each evening.
The courses are held at the Kelton House and Museum & Garden in the Discovery District of Columbus, just west of I-71.
The address is 586 E Town St, Columbus, OH 43215.
The Kelton House Museum & Garden is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is only allowed outside the facility.
The Kelton House Museum and Garden is a Greek Revival and Italianate mansion established by the Junior League of Columbus to promote an understanding of daily life, customs, and decorative arts in 19th-century Columbus and to educate visitors about the Underground Railroad.

Convenient and free parking is available in the Museum lot, one street north on Franklin Avenue near the corner of Lester Drive. A garden path from Franklin Avenue to the Museum is available. Visitors authorized to use disabled parking may use the Kelton House driveway.
Parking Lot Address: 616 Franklin Ave Columbus, Ohio 43215
We encourage participants to grab dinner before class. Participants are welcome to eat in class, although we ask they be mindful of strong-smelling foods that might disrupt the class.
HRACO will provide some light snacks such as granola bars, candy, cookies, and fruit at each class.
Please dress comfortably. Business casual is fine. Jeans are acceptable. You need to be comfortable to learn. With that in mind, keep in mind the class is filled with fellow HR professionals in Central Ohio. You might end up working with or for someone in the room.
Please keep in mind that this is a review course. You will get the most from each class if you read the materials in advance each week.
When you arrive in the classroom, you’ll be given a name tent and a binder that includes copies of all the slides presented during the course. There’s plenty of room on each page to take notes. You should bring pens, pencils, highlighters, and post-its – whatever works best for your learning style.
Your binder will also include our 8-night schedule and a student contact list.
The SHRM Learning System (online and printed materials) is included with your enrollment. You will be added to the SHRM Online Learning Center when your order is processed.
Class participants are also added to an online group, set up just for the class as well! We will use the group to share files, post questions, and answers, and start discussions.
Smoking is only allowed outside the facility.
HRACO continues to monitor COVID-19 in our communities. We intend to hold this course face-to-face. However, HRACO reserves the right to switch to a virtual format to ensure the safety of our participants and facilitators if necessary.
Our mask policy follows the policy set forth by the Kelton House Museum & Garden and is subject to change at any time.
